Twenty Dollar Hero

According to our sources, our upcoming transmission of Horace's adventure with Andrew Jackson and the Belle Witch also exists as a radio episode in that strange alternate dimension where actors play the true life time travelers and the people they meet in their journeys. In this instance, Andrew Jackson is this fella:

Roman Penney is a 2011 graduate of the Professional Actor Training Program and is now working towards a degree in History at UTC. Some of his favorite stage credits are Godspell (All good gifts), Secret Garden (Dr. Craven) and the fully improvised two act musical Luck of The Draw (Player). Roman is also a musician and some of his proudest moments have been playing bass for the New York premier of That Other Woman's Child for the New York Musical Theatre Festival and the tenor soloist for Carmina Burana. Roman also considers him a lifelong student, so if he is not in school he is always on the lookout for ways to improve himself by learning new and interesting skills or reading up on new information he was previously unaware of.   

Returning Princess Celestine

Steve, the former replacement for the Four Horsemen's Pestilence, is having trouble with his temp agency. Turns out he still has some pent up Apocalyptic energy surrounding him. Now to return it to the full time Pestilence, whose bath time is interrupted with a wild and fantastic adventure.

Horace Kentucky in: Case Cracked

Horace has gone down a few bits and is fighting armies of Hitler clones, ghosts, and dinosaurs in the upcoming free to play game "Horace Kentucky in: Case Cracked".

The game is reminiscent of Capcom's 1942 and Gunsmoke, but with a bit more time travelling flair.

"Disappeared" is a highly relative phrase, however. Amy knows exactly where she is. More importantly, she knows where her enemies aren't coming.

Today in History (June 29)

In 1613, London's original Globe Theatre, where many of Shakespeare's plays were performed, was destroyed by a fire sparked by a cannon shot during a performance of "Henry VIII."
After this incident, Winnie Wheatworth swore off her flaming Sambuca shots.
A few time travel trips later, Winnie was at it again, but was able to blame the fire on Mrs. O'Leary's cow.

Horace suggested platinum, while Winnie suggested wines and whiskeeys over twenty years of age. In an alternate dimension where her plan went through, Winnie immediately drank the country into a recession.

In 1924, author Franz Kafka, 40, died near Vienna. There are some, however, who say he scurried under a refrigerator when someone turned the light switch on and was simply not seen again.

In 1897, Mark Twain, 61, was quoted by the New York Journal as saying from London that "the report of my death was an exaggeration."
Dear heavens, though, the reports were accurate. The Twain doppelganger frequents tourist trap steamboats to this day, feeding on those who grow comfortable with what they think is a novelty impersonator.

Few know the origins of the state's title, but one headstrong time detective with offices at the corner of First and Cox could fill you in.

Raising her voice to raise the dead

We are finishing transmissions on Queen Victoria's meetup with Necromancer Nancy Larkin.
A hop, skip, and jump through a wormhole away, Horace's fear inducing enemy is but a voice from one "Marcia Parks".

Born in Pensacola, Florida to military parents, Marcia had the good fortune to live and travel across the eastern United States throughout much of her youth. She attended Florida State University and graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Theatre. She continued a gypsy lifestyle on her own after college, working in costume shops, as a receptionist, and as a nanny. In 2007, she moved to Chattanooga and was delighted to stick around and call it home. By day, she works as a drafter in an engineering firm, but by night (and by weekend) she can usually be found on or back stage at a local theatre. She has been involved with productions at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga, Shakespeare Chattanooga, and Theater for the New South, among others. When not involved in theatre shenanigans, Marcia is usually remodeling her house, investigating local cuisine, walking in the park, sewing projects for friends, or stargazing.

Today in History (May 31)

In 1977, the trans-Alaska oil pipeline, three years in the making, was completed.
It took all of Horace's energy to convince the workers that the first oil transferred from one end to another should not be that of olive.

Today in History (May 30th)

In 1431, Joan of Arc, condemned as a heretic, was burned at the stake in Rouen, France.
With the wink of an eye and a confident chuckle, the soon to be saint vanished into nothingness, leaving nothing but the crackle of flames and a goose egg behind.

Today in History (May 28)

In 1929, the first all-color talking picture, "On with the Show," opened in New York.
Horace was able to convince the audience that the screen in front of them didn't lead into a separate dimension that they bought tickets to spy upon.
This, of course, was a lie fabricated by the time detective to offer a bit of comfort. In reality, the alternate dimension still exists, and is still planning something.

In 1929, Charles A. Lindbergh Jr. married Anne Morrow in Englewood, New Jersey.
Their child, Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr., would of course become one of the greatest time traveling toddler detectives in the history of meta-history. 

Today in History (May 26)

In 1969, the Apollo 10 astronauts returned to Earth after a successful eight-day dress rehearsal for the first manned moon landing.
In an interview, Horace was told that even though the astronauts felt they phoned in the dress rehearsal, they were confident they would come alive in front of an audience.

Today in history (May 25)

In 1935, Babe Ruth hit the 714th and final home run of his career, for the Boston Braves, in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Upon asking Horace if he knew the lucky fan who caught the ball, our favorite time detective simply said "No, but I shook hands with the guy that Babe Ruth vomited on after his eighth celebratory whiskey that night."

I've known Winnie Wheatworth for quite a while. She's a smoky and sultry example of every quality that defines a woman. Her voice may not be quite as feminine as her soft and curvy features, but come on... THIS is who plays her in the other dimension?  

Kevin Bartolomucci has been a writer/actor/comedian/storyteller for over 20 years. He is a co-founder of Runs With Scissors Improv Comedy Troupe and First Draft Productions. For the last 10 years, First Draft has produced many sketch comedy shows, several Audience Interactive Murder Mysteries, and currently perform in 'Wide Open Floor', an eclectic variety show produced at Barking Legs Theater in Chattanooga, TN. Kevin has performed in “A Christmas Carol” and “The Wizard of Oz” at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, as Friar Lawrence in Nine Worthies production of "Romeo and Juliet", and as John R. Neal in the 'Scopes Monkey Trial' reenactment in Dayton, TN. Recently, Kevin has portrayed Christmas Past in "A Christmas Carol: The Broadway Musical", Thenardier in "Les Miserables", and John J. Astor IV in "Titanic the Musical" with Closed Door Entertainment. He has also appeared in several short films and the independent features “Ghost of the Needle" and “Coal River Crossing”. In his spare time, Kevin writes plays, enjoys urban hiking, reads books, smokes pipes, and is a guide with Chattanooga Ghost Tours.

Slick Rickey

Now, this is just ridiculous. THIS is alternate dimension Ranch-Hand Rickey? Where's the slack jawed look of wonder? Where are the distant stares? There aren't even mustard stains on his shirt!

A Dry Throat on a Foggy Morn

Winnie and Rickey have gone back to living a normal life of flapjacks and hard liquor since we last heard from them. Normal turns into abnormal, however, when Winnie discovers that all the alcohol in the world has disappeared. And what's with that weird fog and the mini earthquakes?

Queen for a play

It would take a strong performer to portray our dimension's Queen Victoria. In this peculiar other dimension, that is certainly the case.

Lizzie Chazen, a native of Chattanooga,received her BA in Drama from the University of Vermont in 2006.   In College Lizzie took the opportunity to travel abroad and gain a deeper knowledge of her craft.  She studied movement at the Friches Theatre Urbain in Paris and took master classes at The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon Avon.  After getting her degree, Lizzie moved to NYC where she enrolled at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute taking intensive classes on script analysis and method acting studying under Lola Cohen.  In 2007 Lizzie became an intern at the Looking Glass Theatre in NYC where she produced staged readings and new playwright festivals.  In 2009 Lizzie returned to Chattanooga and quickly became an integral part of the theatre community.  Not only has she taught theatre at Normal Park Upper School, The Chattanooga Theatre Centre and The Hunter Art Museum, she has starred in many CTC productions including A Street Car Named Desire and The Producers. She is currentlyrepresented by Talent Trek in Nashville and continues to audition for commercials and films in the southeast. She is thrilled to be working with the Chattanooga Theatre Centre in her new position as Youth Theatre and Education Associate and looks forward to all the incredible work to come!!

In another dimension: part 2

In this theoretic dimension where all of Horace's life is one big show, Jeff Parker has probably become dangerously exhausted after portraying all the characters he has. His HK credits include War, Einstein, Lizard Nerd, Smitty Cobblestone, and one of those screaming men in the first episode of "Attila the Fun".

Jeff Parker is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Previously he spent five years teaching Voice and Speech for Chattanooga State's Professional Actor Training Program. His voice can be heard on a motley assortment of Disney Records, Web-Series, and DVD Special Features. He thinks Dakota Brown is America's Douglas Adams, and is grateful for the chance to have fun with such great characters!

In another dimension: Part 1

There is a  theory that, in an alternate dimension, the people and creatures that interact with Horace Kentucky (and even Horace himself) are actually characters portrayed by actors. Within this theory, Eric "Red" Wyatt plays the "Customer" and "Attila the Hun" in the "Attila the Fun" case. Bizarre stuff. It is important to note, too, that the customer will soon return as a major player in a future Horace Kentucky Adventure.

Eric "Red" Wyatt is a native of Hixson, Tennessee. He received his G.E.D. at Chattanooga State Community College and later attended Chattanooga State as a college student, taking a double major of Professional Acting and Computer Science. He graduated the Professional Actor Training Program of Chattanooga State in May 2012. He has been seen on stage in The Pillowman (Michal), Dear Brutus (Matey), The Tempest (Gonzalo), Avenue Q (Bad Idea Bear), Jekyll and Hyde, Seussical: The Musical, City of Angels, The Nutcracker Christmas Carol, and others. In addition to acting, Red also has experience in playwriting, directing, stage managing, and is the Resident Sound Designer for Chattanooga's only regularly producing professional theatre, the Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga. Wanting to act since he was age 13, Red loves the thrill of being on stage and entertaining audiences, whether that entertainment be comedy, drama, or tragedy. His current career goal is to become a career voice actor, but any acting job will do, really...
